Let's keep it real, I've been involved in this so called ph industry for more times on then off since 1987, and the system of traditional minicab firms being permitted to take a booking and then passing it onto the driver is a very inefficient system and relies wholly on driver explotation, Uber if anything has liberated these drivers, but with continual rate drops it has now going down the same route and drivers will react to that eventually, and once they do, it's always for good and no company ever recovers from that

Though you don't know if they manipulate the app to prioritise jobs to new drivers, to reel them in.

And the issue with the queue at airports.

On the whole, it's a fairer system, which also allows you to work whichever part of London you wish.
I don't know about new drivers but as I mentioned on this forum many months ago that they use algorithms at the airport, which give priority to drivers who have actually dropped off there, which is a good thing as it makes sure that they get a job back, otherwise an airport on its own is not really worth it, but they should inform all their drivers of this arrangement, and while we are on the subject, I also suspect that the same algorithms also looks after those drivers with a better job acceptance rate on the day by giving them juicier jobs, but it's just a theory and i can't prove it
