Don’t treat UI like the irs! UI is only concerned with actual work earnings. They are supplementing missing work salary.

Weekly claims ask similar questions they asked when we registered. Main point: are you working, why aren’t you working, did you turn down any jobs, did you earn any money, how much?

I worked a couple days, 3/16-3/23, earned $180. I’ll enter that on my weekly for that week. UI will deduct it from my $405 benefit and pay me $225 for that week. I’ll have 10 weeks to fill out. Only worked 4 of those weeks. Retroactive check will be sweet! Will include the extra $600 from 4/4 on.

 

I asked because there is a question in the PUA weekly certification process about if you received any money during a particular week...It specifically asks if you got any vacation or sick pay...Also today I got an e-mail from DETR on behalf of PUA telling me I'm good to go confirming my balance, weekly payment etc..Then I checked my PUA web page and it says there's an issue and that I might qualify for another program and I'll receive a letter with their decision within 21 days...I dont know if the copy of the letter they e-mailed me today is the same letter they're saying will give me their decision within 21 days..Talk about mixed messages..As you know tomorrow the certification process is available on the PUA..I still don't know if I need to declare the UBER sick pay or if I'll be able the declare anything at all..I know I ask a lot of questions but I've never done anything like this before and the process seems designed to make people crazy...One more question please...Will the certification process even require me to go back and report on any earnings for every week all the way back to March 8th which is when my claim begins ?..And is the $600.00 automatic ?...By the way I really do appreciate your help..
