I drove last night.

I had a pax call me today, and I wasn't available to pick up. He left a message stating that he lost his credit card in my car. I don't have it. I tried to use my google voice number to leave him a message stating as such, and google voice identified me as trying to contact an Uber number. However, the number was from Salem, OR and I'm in CT. Wrong number? Not my pax? I'm not calling them back. But I will answer if they call again.

Of course if I was them, I would cancel the card....

I contacted Uber support and told them about it. But I didn't leave the identifying phone number.

Update: he called again, and I told him I didn't find any credit cards.

All you have to do is contact uber and tell them he called you looking for his credit card and you don't have it. That's all you need to do. Ignore the pax going forward

Cover yourself by sending Uber a "Passenger lost item" report. Uber will not do more then connect the rider to you. The phone number for contacting the rider becomes inactive when you accept the next request. Do not go out of your way to return the item unless the PAX offers to compensate for your time and trouble. remember, this is a business. If the PAX is insistent, without offering compensation then tell the PAX you are bringing the item to your (hopefully convenient) local Greenlight Hub where they may pickup at their convenience. Alternatively, use regular mail if item is small and light.

If he lost his credit card and he expected it to be there the next day he must have thought he was your last fare. I have had idiots calling me telling me they left their iphone 7 in my car on busy nights. And get this they call 2 hours after the fact and expect it to still be there in plain sight. Smh. Uber has asked me if I could share my # so pax can reach me in other situations. If I check my car and its not there I tell them no.
