nrma good for part time. i have had two not at fault accidents. never even came up if i was ubering or not. i have been a member for a while costs me $1000. quote from allianz was 1800.
They Check with UBER the hours you are doing, and if you were "on App" at the time you had the reported accident.

One of the many data collection services they've developed.

How do you think the NSW Govt have got so much money to refund taxpayers? Info on riders and drivers generating 10c per km CTP levy is a huge markup for public vehicles.

So NRMA checks with Uber? Are you sure about this?

I thought we would have to permit Uber to share our details in cases like this.

Did you know that Coles insurance don't cover ride-share drivers?
That's terribly disappointing. :(

Why would you even consider buying insurance at a supermarket?

Would you go to an insurance company to buy your weeekly groceries? Coles insurance, LOL. I can see the ads now - Down, down claim payments are down - in fact, claim payments are always down because we don't pay claims :)

Investigating ANY accodent claim allows insurance companies to cross-check information that they are given in an accident report.

They ask witnesses, subpoena traffic and cctv footage, get employment records and would ask their partners (UBER) to provide usage records.

Like I said some time ago, if you are covered for "part-time" UBERX use, get that defined and stick to it.

Coles MasterCard - Priceless!

.
If you are not at fault and the other party has comprehensive insurance, you can go to it wasn'tmyfault.com.au and they will handle everything.I have used them twice and they were superb and no problems with replacement vehicle pending settlement of claim.By the way,Galt, how is the prep going for the meeting with Kim?

Re: Kim, it is a long story which will have to wait, but last night I picked up Kimberley, and it must have been divine intervention as she was actually the wrong rider, but neither of us cared.

I am so far behind in my updates for our very lucky readers that I may have to report to my favourite school mistress and ask her to give me some help disciplining to get me me incentivised.

Thank god there are only 24 hours in every day other wise I would be run off my feet.

Yes I have always been NRMA. Ride share part time thing is vague. Just don't mention it and if it came up because counter party mentioned you had Uber sticker then say part time.

And get caught in the lie, and you're screwed. Instant dismissal of claim, and probably have your insurance revoked. And when you try another insurer, and they ask, "have you ever had a claim denied, or insurance cancelled"; bang goes any chance of any insurance, anywhere...

Except maybe Coles Insurance. Sounds like they're happy to take your money, since apparently, they pretty much don't pay out all that often, lol
