I'm all for alternatives but realistically boober has an extremely strong ecosystem. Juno had around a billion in VC funds behind it and still failed miserably (relative to what it originally set out to do).

CiRide pax app has 3--count 'em, 3--downloads on Google Play Store. The CiRide Driver app has all of 2 downloads. App descriptions use the same broken English phrasing. The developer is named Isaac Sebhatu. An Isaac Sebhatu in SF works as a software engineer in telecommunications. Another Isaac Sebhatu, with 0 LinkedIn connections, works in "Health, Wellness and Fitness" in the Greater Seattle area.

The app's screenshots in Play Store show examples in India. The screenshots in iTunes show examples of Seattle. Note that the ping screens show pickup address and dropoff address, along with the pax's full name.

Anyone tried Moovn or whatever?
Yes. I was signed on before they went live. They have no surge. Ever. And rates are the same as base rate uber-Lyft. I chuckle when I get their 'turn on moovn at the mariners game' txts. Let's make $5/hr whee!. It's a major bit of shortsightedness as far as the driver side of things. Their literature going out to pax celebrates it as having 'no surge, ever,' so I think this is central to their business model. Nice folks run it (small operation), but I don't think they quite get the rideshare incentives. they're all private limo/black car level drivers who have a livable base rate, making unicorn rates on every ap run, every day they work. They have been operating as a black car service and are only now breaking into rideshare.

And, they didn't even have the service set up for higher tiers when they launched.
