very bad. now everybody and their brother is up there now. i counted (if the rider app is accurate) 25ish ubers up there today. waited an hour, got nothing. i liked sneaking through in stealth mode picking people up, right under the airport nazis' noses. they say first in/first out. great. WHAT ****ING POSITION AM I IN THAT ORDER so i don't waste my time there?

Yes I also agree with this. Saturation at it's finest. Its tough out there with everyone and thier brother driving for uber now. My biggest complaint however is the fees that uber collects. Not fair whatsover! This is really a below minimum wage job amd I don't see myself doing this any longer honestly.

long term i don't see uber as tenable here, but short term i do see an opportunity. since there are so many drivers camped out in cellphone waiting area, we could hand out fliers explaining how to game the surge (which is basically is drivers negotiating what rates we're willing to work for) via the ACCEPT/CANCEL/OTHER method of "skipping".

Uber is largely illegal in the Charleston and, even if it were not, they are not and will never treat their driver's fairly

Check out the law suits that have been filed against them in Charleston, both state and federal
save us a trip to the courthouse, and tell us more about the lawsuits filed in charleston.

If you think Uber is now legal at CHS, pick up the phone and call this number (843) 767-7000 and ask them or, better still, go up there and park in the parking garage and walk around and go to the "driver check in booth" and tell the officers who work there (or their supervisor Kathy) that you drive for Uber and see what happens.

Well, one of the most recent ones is the multi-million dollar damage suit filed by the "rape victim". The thing is:
1. I doubt if it really was a rape; and
2. I doubt if the jury will find Uber liable if the guy had no priors which I assume he didn't since Uber hired him.

Hello again...See my prior post... One thing is this : Uber has had more cases of various kinds filed against it in State Court in the last year than any company ever has...in the history of record keeping (150+ years) at the Charleston County Courthouse.

Some are by customers (fares) for various reasons, some are by a large number of regulatory/governmental agencies (local, state, and federal), and others are by drivers.

The thing all of you should be alerted to is to check out the suits by drivers to see if any of been settled (they have) or gone to a jury and won (they haven't)

Just remember this my friends......Uber hires very, very expensive lawyers, both here and nationally (their lead National Counsel was Bill Clinton's lawyer).
It costs them over $100,ooo to defend a case in court through a jury trial. If they can settle it for $10,000, what do you think they do ?
