Not surprised, most corrupt city in the country wants its money. Get those lawsuits ready!
It's not all the City's fault.

It is the owner of "Chicago Parking Meters, LLC", formed by Morgan Stanley.
LAZ Parking manages the meter system, and LAZ hires parking enforcement officers to patrol streets and enforce violations

"Members of the public should know this isn't just free parking for the duration" Lightfoot clarified Tuesday.

"There are no plans to suspend issuing tickets for expired meters," however, the city will not issue city sticker and expired license plate violations until April 30.

Either way, City of Chicago has no tact or reasonable human compassion. The city streets are practically empty. It isn't a concern for safety to deceive the public on the details nor to continue issuing tickets when ticketing infrastructure is no longer a valid issue. Gimpfoot knows she could suspend ticketing for parking to make it easier on people during a crisis, but she's no different from Pritzker.

I just got two red light tickets in the mail yesterday from middle-February. Awesome!!! (On top of the one I got from early February for stupid park reduced speed zone at 1030pm)

The city can eat a dick on these for sure.
