Cherrypicking a 45+ ping. Should I use df?

I was in brentwood from 8 to 9am today. I wanted to get a nice surged long trip ping, but never got one.
I got bombarbed with non 45+ pings, and I ignored probably 80 pings from lyft and uber combined. Only 2 pings were long trip ones but at base from lyft (I know because the pickup wasnt in the pt zones). I ignored several 2.0x from uber as well.

Now, if I have used a df say towards southern oc, would my chances to get a 45+ have improved? Im asking because common sense would be to not use df, and in that way maximize your covered areas. Or maybe use df, so uber/lyft will filter some pings and increase my chances of getting a long trip ping. I try not to use df if its not to get some rides going home. Usually I dont get shit with it.

Well question is , can you set DF 8-9 am in Brentwood ? I really don't think so.

45+ ping from that area at that time seems like a real stretch. Lyft would probably give you the 45+ to LAX, but I doubt Uber would.

45+from Uber would have to be Irvine or Ventura. Chances someone going to either from Brentwood seem slim.

From brentwood at 8-9am...u will get a 45+ to downtown...
ALOT of times, i do not get a long trip notification n it be over 1 hr trips...

The question u should ask is how many people do u think from brentwood needs to go 45+ from 8-9am (probably not too many n ur vsing 100 other drivers).
U can cherrypick at events...but tryna cherrypick in morning rush or evening rush when they r mostly just going to school or work is even harder than tryna catch a long trip at bar rush...
Just my opinion :/

At that time its less than 30min to lax. I always get rides to lax from there, but I wanted to try my luck getting a 45+.

Still no one has answered my question.
If you just want to get a long trip without mattering destination, do you df or not? I doubt it.

No not anymore, DF is worthless because it no longer gets priority pings.

If you are south of the 605 and want a LAX trip just wait for the +45

I assume you meant East, not South, but yeah. Its not too hard to wait for a 45+ from the oc, county line towards lax and cities up north of it. Now to get one the other way around is not easy if it isnt a lax trip.

Your question doesn't make sense. Point of the DF is to get something to a general destination/direction.

If the destination doesn't matter then why use DF?

If you actually read my first post you would understand that it indeed does. U phoria already gave me the answer I was looking for, about if it does increase your chances by giving you a priority.
