I have never done it, but is it inevitable that everyone starts doing it, and doing it everywhere?
With ubers crappy rates, can you ever risk the short rides? Can you really risk going up into the Hollywood Hills to pick someone up only to have them go to Sunset or Ventura blve? I just don't ever accept those pings. But I could see a reason why everyone just starts Cherry Picking everywhere.
Uber could kinda fix this with a tiered percentage. Uber only takes 10% from Minimum fares. 15% from fares under $10. But we all know they won't, so the inevitable result will be constant cherry picking and decrease of the reliability of the platform.
