SOmething is majorly wrong with uber the last day at least. I know of at least one other person so far but be sure to check your payouts. They are screwing me out of money saying th efare was lower then it really was. I havent gone through all of them but i know at least 3 of them are wrong. even this morning my last one is wrong. It was a $10.86 fare and if i go to payments it says the fare was only 9.41 and a 1.88 uber fee. So thats over a buck im screwed. And yesterday i had a fare they recorded as like 4.40 and the minimum is what 5.45?
Anyone else have this?
You can't calculate your take home based on the fare you see on the screen that the passenger pays. Remember that the fare you see includes the safe ride fee, which needs to be deducted. Go to the partner dashboard either online or on the phone to see the breakdown there.
If I understand your first example you see 10.86 fare and if the safe ride fee is 1.45 then you need to calculate 10.86 - 1.45 = 9.41 - 1.88 = 7.53 should be your payout. When you look at it you only get 69% of the fare that the passenger pays. That is the biggest issue we all have with the safe ride fee, being that Uber keeps 100% of the safe ride fee you as the driver don't see any of that.
In short your payout calculation will be (Base Fare + (Miles * Mileage Rate) + (Time * Time Rate)) * .8 + Tolls
As bad as Uber is, they don't screw the driver as much as you think.
