Hey guys, I havent driven for uber since mid February, and I have no plans to drive again soon as I have moved out to the country so I'm looking at changing my rego from chauffeured vehicle back to private vehicle.

Am I correct in assuming all I need to do is take my pink slip back to service SA along with my inspection triangle?

I've done this exact thing. Take your Triangle sticker, inspection paper, Rego papers and your PV Sticker ( the guy I got said it wasnt essential but they like it back if they can - so in case you get a stickler for the rules take the PV sticker with you.)
It takes a while to do as it goes to the back office to process, like when you first got all the accreditation.
Also go to the ALC Richmond Rd, not a regular Service SA

How much is the difference in the 2 rego costs? There would be a saving on insurances aswell right?

Yes there is a difference for rego. I cant remember the exact amount but around $300 a year.
Not sure about insurance, I didn't change my policy
