My question is after the app shows you arrived at the pax destination but before you end the trip, can you change the destination ?

Reason I asked. Picked up two people at the airport. As I started the trip one rider said when we drop off his friend he will change the destination and we will keep on. Not knowing exactly how to handle it, I had him change the destination when we were about a block from the first drop off. Worked out ok.

Can someone answer my question?

Yep, when the requester states he'd like to continue the ride for him or his fellow pax, select the 'go off-line after trip' option to stop stacking, and have the requester change the destination as you arrive at the first destination. And don't absent mindedly end the trip at the first destination!

You can change it from inside your driver app or they can change it.

The meters running even if you don't change it, you can just leave the app on.

But if you want, ask for the address. Change it yourself and tell them you'll put it in and select navigate in your driver app to get directions.

Having them change it is the better way. SteveK2016 explains why here:

Some have suggested to change it in the driver app.

While that may not land you in hot water every time, all it takes is one sly pax that knows how to game the system and complain. Will many complain to save a few bucks? Probably not but you can bet the second that pax (from my original post above) saw that $400 bill they were scrambling to find any lie they can think of to get that rolled back.

"Surge? What surge? Vehicle Class? You mean a Cadillac is more expensive than a Prius?! What world do I live in?!"

I wouldn't trust just changing it in the Driver App. For all you know, they'll complain saying they were dropped off and the Driver must have changed the address to extend the ride and fare amount. Some suggest Uber can track the Pax phone, but do you think they'll actually do that much research? Even if they could, that same sly pax could just turn their location services off or turn the phone off completely. I doubt Uber has NSA level tracking software.

Again, may not be worth to do to save a few bucks, but you don't want the first pax to screw you over be on a nice surge ride with a 3 digit pay amount.

Uber made is REALLY easy to change the address since their last Pax App major update. Pax have no excuse to not know how to change destinations from their own app, and if they insist they don't know, have them open the app and show you. Destination Address (Change) right in the middle.

Don't take chances with your money!

You should always have the rider change the destination. If you do it you can be accused by uber of fraud.
