The Chairman of the Nevada Transportation Authority Mr. Andrew Mackay is stepping down. On the Jon Ralston show this evening the Chairman confirmed that after ten years of service to the state is moving on. For individuals who are not familiar with the Nevada Transportation Authority they have oversight of TNC's in Nevada.

Uber drivers in Nevada have a great deal to thank the Chairman for during the last two years of his service with having to deal with a difficult task in a very short time frame in a polite, fair and professional manner.

Hopefully, the Chairman will be happy in his new position. Good luck Mr. Chairman and Uber On !!

I look forward to seeing you in the hallways in Carson City in 2017 when SB183 has it's second day in the sun. :)

The Chairman also said the Taxicab God will be having his own TNC app in the near future to compete with Uber God in the state of Nevada after one year of development.

The Chairman also said over one hundred tickets have been written to Uber partners at the airport so far by airport staff.

I saw the interview as well. It was quite good, and he spoke favorably about the TNCs. I have to question how effective any app could be when operated strictly by a local company. I cannot see tourists downloading an app strictly for use in one area such as Greater Las Vegas. The advantage that the network companies have is that their apps can be used all across the country and overseas as well. It sounds like one of the cab company owners simply thinks this all about the app and not about the portability or experience.

He probably got enough in bribes to retire.
He's probably going to work for a TNC as a consultant for a few million.

Very common for politicians to get a fat payout after leaving office.
