So today after driving I noticed "Cash collected". Which is the exact amount of which I received in tips, $6.00...

I'm assuming this is Uber doubling tips, however nothing was mentioned to us in the app, or website about doubling tips...

Today I made 137.94 after tips, it shows this number in the Total earnings, but in the bank deposit it shows 143.94, $6 more.

I get paid daily with Payfare, the number shown when cashing out is not 143.94, it is 137.94.

Does anyone know where this extra $6.00 is going to fall in the hands of, ultimately it will be me having to pay for it since all earnings are taxed and must be accounted for.

Thanks,
Canadian Uber Man.

I believe that "cash collected" are your in-app tips. That's how the math worked for me.

Good luck with customer support. They will reply with the same canned response not answering your question. LOL

It took 4 full hours to upload my earnings to the app today. I logged in via the web site in between rides, and was able to see the earnings posted there, and everything looked ok there. When the app finally did upload, it's showing my tip as cash received. Net - the app is screwy today, and it didn't take them long to eff something up w/ this "opt in" cash trial they're fiddling with (and it isn't even being tested in our market). This cash thing, even in test mode, is a bad idea.

Yes. It is clear they are tips. The problem is they are adding them in twice. First they add it to trip earnings and then they add it again to bank deposit. I doubt they are now doubling all tips.

I'm 100% against this CASH thing. Pax can bail and not pay and what about the ones who want to pay with a $100 bill or the ones who want their $0.96 change?

supposedly the way it works is any change they would get back get's credited to their account, and the uber fees/booking fees get deducted off you as well as the change.

How the hell can a multi-billion $ company's flagship product have bugs like this?

There is nothing extra, Uber wants you to think that they love you so much and they are giving you more
