At least the driver doesn't have to carry cash.

I would be interested to see if this makes money for drivers.

99% of my PAX have been nice, or at least well behaved.
That 1% has stolen everything not red hot or tied down in my car, including the aux cable and 3 cheap iPhone chargers.
When I dumb enough to offer water, I have had two people steal 6 bottles of water from the back seat while drinking none in the car.

I don't want to worry about shoplifters in my car.

Your pax will expect that for free once they see it and give you 1 star every time you try to sell.

They're "entitled" to the whole world. You should know this by now.

You would have to deal with cash. Dangerous in a vehicle for hire. Ask a cabbie.

The Lyft ads say drivers can make up to $15/hr.
Then they say (before Lyft's %, and vehicle costs) in small print.
Most everything associated with ride sharing is subject to some sort of spin.

I would guess that the first night you will get hit up by a drunken 21 year old woman that believes she is entitled to everything she asks for (so far it has worked with daddy and her boyfriend), and she will bug you for free stuff until you can get her out of the car.
