Just wanted to upgrade my car. Currently driving a 60 reg Ford Galaxy. I haven't got enough money to buy on cash therefore looking for finance. Any advice guys where is best to look for a good finance deal(apart from Cargiant).
Last week spoke to my local TrustFord dealer and was shocked to hear that they won't do finance if the car was going to be used as a Private Hire.

Check eligibility for a 0% credit card. If you can get one, but it on that and keep shifting the debt onto different cards till u pay it off.

Try your bank 1st, as they generally have lower interest rates than a finance company. If you do go through someone like Cargiant, don't just accept the 1st finance deal they offer you. Cargiant use a few finance companies dependent on your personal circumstances, bear in mind it's in the interest of the finance guy to get you on the highest payments possible as he/the company will make more commission. This website http://www.carfinance247.co.uk/car-finance/car-finance-calculator.htm will give you an idea on how much you should be paying. Better to go in armed with some figures, so you get the best deal. Good luck.

Get finance from Tesco or hitachi they have best rates at the moment. If they don't lend you money then try your bank. Credit card is tricky and might and up paying crazy interest.
Never take finance from dealers or the rubbish car giant.

Talk to Ethos Finance they finance lots of Private Hire and Chauffeur vehicles.

As long as you have a 10% deposit they can sort out finance for most situations.

I think some people posting are forgetting the fact that a PH vehicle is deemed a high risk loan.

The same person applying for finance as a FullTime PAYE employee will get a better interest rate than a FT PH driver, also the longer you are a PH driver the lower your interest rate will be.

It also has to be remembered that PH drivers have been knocking finance companies for years and if the worst happens the finance company has to try and get its money back from a high mileage vehicle.

Must admit I have never found CarGiant interest rads to be that bad, but then I have never bought a car on Finance as a PH driver or using the bad credit finance companies so perhaps they are more expensive to borrow from.

That's why everyone can take personal loan for house improvement for example then use the money to buy a car and pay upright. You tell the lender you a ph driver but you don't have to explain further more. Best rates you get . Only thing is that you need a good credit history. This way you have no mileage limit.
