I got the attached email from Lyft yesterday, it could not be more Uber like. The email is spanking me for passing/missing Lyft requests. Requests like Lyft Line, I did not sign up or agree to offer rides for a reduced rate, so of course I will pass on those rides, like I pass on all Uber Poo. I also pass on all ridiculous Lyft ride requests from six to fifteen or more miles away. It's not possible to make money on any ride requests from so far away and with Lyft's customers base it mostly likely a minimum ride at that.

Lyft becoming more Uber like with emails like this got me to thinking. Maybe we would all be better off if Lyft went away. Lyft going away would end all the pricing wars that are costing the drivers so much money. It would not allow the Uber customers to escape the surge pricing.

I use to be Lyft's biggest fan. I started with Lyft almost 2500 Lyft rides ago, but with Lyft becoming more and more Uber like, I really have to wonder if all the drivers would be better off if there was no Lyft?

It would be great for 2 weeks until Uber onboarded all the Lyft drivers.

Then it would really suck. Grinding Lyft drivers mind controlled by incentives clogging the map with more drones. ugh.

How many of you Lyfties are driving that $14 guarantee today?

I just attempted the $14.40 downtown... thought I got my one unicorn 3 block ride, but I had to drive them all the way to Mission beach for a $10 ride. I gave up on the mission and came home to shower and eat. I may try to give two shorties in PB at 5 though while checking out surge on Ubes.

Yes, do you see my Avatar? Lyft is nothing more than Uber with a pink mustache and yeah a in-app option to tip or not!

My driver told me he likes driving for Juno for a few reasons: it only takes a 10% commission out of a fare, and that rate has been promised to drivers for two years. (Uber, for comparison, takes around 30% of fares.)

Juno says that it will provide its drivers with restricted stock units (RSUs) so that long-term drivers will own a piece of the company.

There are no passenger ratings in Juno. The only thing a driver can do is unmatch with a passenger, which means he or she won't be picked up again by that specific driver.

After the ride, you rate your driver and complete the transaction. There's no tipping function built into the app yet, but Juno says that it is working on one. When I tipped in cash, the driver said it wasn't necessary, but he did accept the money.

No, having another company competing to secure our services is a good thing.

Uber drops its prices in cities where Lyft operates, and also in cities where it does not. Uber's price slashing would continue with or without Lyft.

It worked for me my friend, missed by 1 minute a clean sweep up to midnight. Uber was shit today, Lyft was only game in town to make money. $20 per hour average for 9 hours online combined between the two!

No, because Uber is now trying to put Federally subsidised public transit and Busses out of business.

We the drivers SUBSIDISE UBER !

With OUR CARS ,our gas,our time!

Time for US ,the PARTNERS ,to realize a reward for OUR hard work !

Slow everywhere tonight. It took me 4.5 hours to make $100 at 2.1X. no bueno

I'll run the Lyfties tomorrow if Ubers shat. YOu're gonna have to grind until 3am to make the long dollars. Can you handle that old man?
You know what's NOT slow ?

The rate of Uber commercials on national t.v. !

The rate of driver recruitment.

UNSUSTAINABLE !
