Why does Uber allow the cancellation of a ride when you've reached the customer destination? I received a ride request which took me 23 minutes to pick up, taking two toll roads. A five-minute wait time and a ten-minute destination ride. The ride was supposed to also take them back, so after delivery to the stop I waited another five-minutes. Then they cancelled the ride. Uber has only given me a $8.30 cancellation fee. I should get paid for the full ride. Customer no-service has not helped at all. Any advice to cut through the BS and get what I'm owed?

Just message or call Uber support tell him what happened. You will get paid for that leg. However that does sound like a high cancellation rate? Maybe that's what they're paying for that leg and they're just calling it a cancellation rate? Just get in touch with Uber for clarification.

This is a disgrace. Your time and gas and tolls. Try calling Uber and predictably they will say....." We are terribly sorry.. blah blah blah............

Here in Chicago we're paid $3.75 + time and distance after the first 10 minutes of driving if they cancel en route, assuming you were on track to pick up the pax on time. That's what I know and what I expect. It's peanuts, which is why I never do pickups more than 8 minutes or a couple of miles away. Premium pickup likely or possible? Hell no, not gonna do it.

This is a "doctor it hurts when I do this" type problem. The obvious solution being "well, don't do that."
