I had a cancellation last night where I made sure I waited over five minutes for the passenger and I texted them twice so I have a time history but Uber insists not to pay me my $3.75

Has anyone else run into this stonewalling? I have a feeling that Uber probably nailed the passenger for the five dollar fee for no-show but they're stiffing me for some reason.

Take a screen shot of the texts showing the time and send it to them along of one for when you arrived I alway text as soon as I get there "Hi this is your uber I'm ----- waiting with my blinkers on" so I have a Record of when I arrived then I set a 5 min timer". a plus if the location is wrong as often happens I find out right away rather than after a wait. It can also help if you send one more text at the 5 min mark " hi this is your uber because it has been 5 min with no contact I must concernder this a no show and move on thank you" this gives you a Record of when you left. I use auto fill for both

So how do you like getting screwed out of what's yours?........fun ain't it that's why I collect money owed to me after each and every ride:D
Right, because a cab fare no show pays much better at $0.00. I'll gladly take the $5.00 cancellation fee.

I wonder why you even decided to share your opinion on the matter, when it provided zero beneficial information to the OP. Was it just to troll?

I have had times where I never received the cancellation fee although its always cases where I have texted a passenger. It's made me wonder if they reset the timer after someone's been contacted or if there is a cutoff time like after 8 minutes of waiting it just cancels the fee.
