Thanks. I have a 5 star girl a 1 star last night. She must have reciprocated back with a 1 star to me today.
I'm a frequent traveler and there is a blog called angelinas travel and there is a thread where her and a couple others were complaining that they found out some uber drivers were rating passengers that tipped better than passengers that didn't tip. One of the tightwads suggested people look at their rating before and after a trip and if their rating is lower than before rate the driver a 1 star (how about stop being a tight a** and just tipping the driver instead?).

Uber used to require you to email them to find out your rating and not sure why they make that info so easy for a rider to find now. I was surprised at how low my own rating is, it's 4.89 as a rider but I am always nice to the driver and ALWAYS tip. Only things I can think of is I use uber a lot at home to ride 1/2 to 1 mile back to my house and I know some drivers hate taking short hauls but I always tip the driver a few dollars and our minimum fare is around $6 and my condo is near a lot of bars so the driver shouldn't have a problem finding another rider. I also use pool sometimes when travelling but again I always tip the driver and in fact I think it helps the drivers if I get dropped off when other passengers are in the car because I make sure the other riders see me tipping the driver.

There's a huge misconception as to ratings. A driver giving a passenger low rating or a passenger giving a driver low rating is NOT immediate. This is to protect the annonimity of both parties. There's a delay in updating and it won't be noticed recently.

Not true, some pax don't bother to rate right after and wait until they open their app again.

As soon as a pax rates the driver, the driver can see the rating effect. So if you have 450 5 star ratings, you'll see it move to 451 if they give you a 5 star. I'm assuming the rider is instant now too?
