Happy Father's Day!!

Went out 6-9:30 am and hit for $110....said good enough for me.

Time to relax and enjoy!!!

It was funny, I got home and walked through the door and my daughter was yelling at her brother for eating all the cookie crisp cereal that was bought yesterday. He was hiding under a cover (don't blame him, she scares me worse than the wife when angry)....lol

Thanks!

I got a great Father's Day gift today from a friend.

Monday - Wednesday, a bunch of us went over to the Gulf Coast where one person had rented a house. It was basically just some chillin' beach time for our daughters. The last morning -- for some unknown reason -- one of the guys went to Publix and bought a ton of groceries. Pretty weird, because we were all packing up to leave. Anyway, one of the things he bought were three large packages of bacon.

This afternoon, our Ice Princesses met at the ice rink because one of them is going overseas for a month. One of the Mom's bought me the three packages of bacon, saying she knows I like bacon, her husband can't eat it because of cholesterol, etc. Happy Father's Day.

I tried to give it to the mom whose husband had actually paid for it, but she wouldn't take it. I tried, I really did.

Failing that, I did the sensible guy thing. I took it across the parking lot to Publix, returned it for a $22+ gift card, and bought myself a Happy Father's Day case of beer!

JG, don't know how the hell I missed this thread back in June.
But you know what, having 2 kids just like you, everyday is freakin fathers day.

Kids are the best thing ever. And the one good thing about Uber that I can say I love about them is that I can make some money late at night when they're sleeping and not miss too much family time.

Uber on Dad's.

I don't have any children, so I always hold my breath on Fathers day that I don't get a card in the mail.
There's a friend of mine who basically had that happen to him. He heard from a teenaged girl who said "You're my father." And it was true.

Fortunately she's a nice kid. I've met her.

I know this is an old thread, but I didn't see it either.

Parenting is the only thing that can make you cry out of frustration and cry out of pride on the same day. I only leave the house to drive after 9pm, usually after my kid gets her story and gets ready for better. Like Noe said, driving at night helps afford you a time to make money and keep the missed family time at a minimum.

Don't you mean Ricky?
No, actually Enrique is Spanish for Henry. My grandson was named after his great grandfather who was the first Gonzalez to LEGALLY migrate to the U.S. from Mexico back in the 50's.

The Gonzalez family is well known in the Houston area as his granddaughter, my daughter-in-law became a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. As you can tell I'm a very proud opa (German for grandpa).
