Cab drivers driving uber while in marked vehicle

Has anyone else seen the cab drivers showing on the passenger app as drivers?

More than once I have seen an approaching vehicle on the app, and I look up to see only a cab brand van.

Also seen a cab driver with phone on dash (not certain what app though ) but he also appeared to be a vehicle.
I thought this wasn't permitted?

Reviewing the prohibited activities for the cities VFH/livery/taxi services stated that a taxi driver canot work for an employer other than the one he/she is representing? So, if I understand correctly, they risk being in violation for accepting electronic dispatch from a company other than the one represented on the marked vehicle.

Much the same as we licensed for VFH cannot accept hailing passengers, can only be prearranged, or we are in violation of being : Rouge/GypsieTaxi" if we were to do so as the licence only permits prearranged.

I have seen this. I have also experianced ghost cars before on the app.

Office of Public Parking:

"Drivers who work for taxi companies are not allowed to work with digital dispatch services other than those offered by their own company."

Turn them in!

I was out driving last night in Jax Beach and I caught two different taxi's picking up Uber drivers. The first one was on the phone with the guy and when he showed up the rider was trying to do something on his app with the driver...Uber? The second one was a female. she pulled over at a light next to me in a parking lot and I seen that she was on the Uber app and she was cancelled. These two people are with the same company and I did write down the numbers on the side of the cars....I was also told the other day when I was driving that a rider ordered an Uber and the same company showed up. She was upset that she didn't order a regular taxi and a POS taxi cab pulled up and she was too scared to say no. This right here is BS! How do we report these people? Let me be out there requesting a ride and one show up!! I dare them!!

I couldn't care less about medallion carrying cabs using Uber as long as they are not turning around and complaining about unlicensed UberXs stealing their business. If they are on the app then it's just an admission that the old oligopoly through regulation model is broke and the new sharing economy wins.

All you have to do is get the cab's # and license plate number and call the taxi company. The taxi company has a policy that none of their taxi drivers can work for Uber.

Then you can request them and report them to uber and get them kicked off there as well LOL.
