Like this. Prime example of fake surge maybe? Was driving in the thick of it before the red mist appeared. Was gonna go home for lunch but thought I'd do a lap. Drove around right amongst it all up until it had disappeared without a single ping. I did previously have a small trip prior to this so the app wasnt playing up receiving pings on me

Sutherland shire seams to be the home of fake surges, i was over there a few weekends ago, surges on and off, not a single ping when it was surge. surge would go away, i would log off at Miranda westfield to charge the car, surge comes back, so i log back on, surge goes away..

Fake surges on driver app. Ghost cars on passenger app. Setting up in breach of the law. Denial of issues with the lifeline to the drivers income (app). Nothing shocks around here when it comes to ethics.

Thanks for reaching out and keeping your city moving.

Maybe the surge went to all us young beautiful things driving Uber in our honeymoon period?

I'm born and raised shire. So know exactly the kind of pax to expect around here. I've always thought the surge was mainly on point when it happens in the shire except today when I was heading home for lunch and to do stuff. Thought it was odd to have most of the shire going off at 1pm on a monday

Uber occaisionally like to wrap up their market share, tie a ribbon on it and hand it to the taxi industry. Their chief surge coder is a [email protected]

Rads.... this morning I switched on at 6.20am and the shire was a sea of red. Zero pings and in 3 minutes it had blown out to sea towards NZ. Surge must be bullshit! Or maybe it just takes two pax and no cars to turn the shire red?

I'm still in bed around then so must miss out on the possibility of seeing fake surge the majority of the time. Maybe everyone using the uber boat/surfboard/submarine/pelican app were benefiting from it. All the high winds blowing people out to see.
