My friend got nailed by Uber and permanently suspended. A fellow Uber driver got pictures of his vehicle at the waiting lot at Sky Harbor and submitted them to Uber. I guess it's a violation to display multiple trade dress stickers on your vehicle while on Sky Harbor property. He had both his Lyft and Uber trade dress visible. I was at the waiting lot earlier today and saw a bunch of vehicles with two to three different trade dress stickers visible.

I just keep mine on a piece of white cardboard paper. Then I can throw it in the window if I ever need to, but I just keep put away. This might be a good solution depending on who you get an AP hit from first. I have never put mine in the window even once.

That is so wrong especially for independent contractors. Does lyft have airport pick ups? The waiting lots aren't uber only??? People are just trying to pay the bills. They don't care who gives them work. They just want an honest days wage for an honest days work. I guess we should all get out our card board signs and start begging on the corners.

Wow, let the throat cutting commence. Perfect example of how Uber has enabled people to fight over pennies.

Guess the snitches think it's a good way to get rid of some of the other drivers. I'm at the 27th waiting area right now and see at least 5 cars with both Uber and Lyft trade dress visible. I'm sure someone will be getting pictures and reporting them.

Well he'll get his. I'm a huge believer in Karma. Also, snitches get stitches.

Quick question. I've seen Goober drivers picking up at the designated RideShare pickup areas and at every pickup area, I see an airport official or whatever, with a clipboard talking to the drivers. What's that all about? They just confirming that you're a Goober driver?

My wife asked uber and phoenix airport about this issue and was told it was a first they've heard of this. Maybe a warning was issued before termination? Besides uber states termination from the airport does not affect your partner app, so your buddy is withholding more on what really happened.

He showed me his deactivation email. Maybe his second offense, not sure, but he was deactivated.

I asked uber in an email and they directed me here:
http://phoenix.ubermovement.com/phx-airport-rideshare-partners

It's right under the part explaining where trade dress is required to be.

No they are not just checking to see if you're a goober driver. basically the airport set the rules on what Uber drivers are allowed to do it's not uber but the airport and Uber can be banned from the airport if to many drivers are not obeying the rules.

Its the airport that says you can only display 1 trade dress and if are displaying a trade dress you must have the app on for the ride share you are displaying. You must show your phone when request by airport security or police. If you have more then one rideshare app open on your phone you get busted. The other app does not have to be on/acctive just open, you will still be fined and band from the airport because your app has to be on at all times while on the airport while displaying your trade dress.

I highly doubt that another driver took pictures of that uber driver having both trade dresses on. It was probably airport security their looking out for this. How do I know because I talked to them the first time I went into the lot and asked questions about everything.

They informed me they would be lenient for the first 30 days and that they always remember people by their face even if you come in with a different car they are going to get you they want the fines. Do yourself a favor and follow the rules I bet there's a lot of drivers who have been suspended and let go so far that are not on these forms

Booklet given from the airport has nothing that says termination for having another trade dress. Even if not allowed to the airport (scroll up) it says results in a fine. Hopefully he fights it if he really needs the supplemental income. This also shows the uber rep and airport employee are not fully up to date as well. I'm glad I saw this post as I also once had both on good thing I only went there once. However all it takes is once. Tomorrow I'm going to go back to HQ and follow up as this is jacked up.

You guys need to realize they don't eff around at the airport. They will fine you at the drop of a hat and with security concerns they have no patience. Zero tolerance is their mandate.
Yep, I received my $500 fine in the mail years ago for illegal airport pick up. Just because you don't get a ticket handed to you at the airport doesn't mean it's not coming in the mail. I learned very quickly to be in compliance.

Is this an airport rule about showing only 1 trade dress or an Uber rule? The airport pick-up info from Lyft had nothing about not showing any other trade dress so I thought it was an Uber thing. What a pain always taking down one or the other. I saw a driver who displayed his on the passenger visor. That would be easier to switch out, but violates the instruction to put the trade dress on the lower passenger side of the windshield.

Do what they tell you and quit whining or be prepared to dig into your pocket. The regulion is and not just for the airport that TNCs need to display their trade dress in the lower portion of the passenger side windshield.

Jeez, taxisuper, cool your jets! I'm not whining. I display my trade dress at all times. I simply asked a question. Since airport instructions from Lyft said nothing about displaying only 1 trade dress, it seemed to me it was an Uber rule, not an airport rule.
Why does everyone here always have to act like an a$$hole and all superior? Especially the taxi drivers who think they're too f'ing good to drive Uber, yet they're on this forum more than anyone.
Shakes head in wonder at how being shi**y comes so natural to so many people.
