Ha Ha, you really think the people spoke?? No.... Uber spoke and agreed to pay all the back fines and airport and port fees. That is major money as well as they will agree to per vehicle fees that cannot generate a profit but compensate the county for work involved in keeping records on drivers, airport/port pickups and drop off's, etc. This is big money for the county... Uber stepped up to the plate and is doing it's part like it should. I think some of the downgrading of other regulations went across the table but I hardly think the comments from Uber customers and drivers made where the deciding factor. With everything that was decided it is still up to what happens with the insurance.... I hope they get us insurance cards specific to the driver and vehicle, if Uber pulls that off we are good to go.
