Dead tired but back at my regular 9 to 5. If you don't mind short trips and pools....and X's pretending to be pool, it is SUPER BUSY. I made $200 easy all night. Even got invited to a party. But I ate, mingled and went back to work. Doing pool was pretty annoying since I had to cramp my tall ass in the driver seat. Made worse by the NUMEROUS blockades by the fuzz but it was a busy night. sometimes uber only shows a certain class of service... plus just think about the kinda 'peeps' that are making the requests.... they aint' got no money... they spent their money on jerk chicken and fake jewelry.

Did ok today. Got out of Brooklyn pronto this morning. Worked *gasp* the Bronx and uptown this morning and afternoon. Was pretty nice out that way. Just got home. Was going nowhere near the parade today. $290ish after tolls. $20 cash tips.

here is my experience with that parade today: 1: got a surging X ping (1.2X) in a clear area not far from the action, no traffic. But they were heading towards the action. 20 minutes later, I'm $8 richer and stuck in traffic. 20 minutes later, after ignoring all other pings, Im out of the traffic. Shouldve cancelled on the first guy.

Took me another hour to get out of Brooklyn. The whole boro isnt safe to drive in because chances are you will get a ping that will require you to go through the traffic. I used df to my advantage, but still basically wasted about an hour.

Now its 9 pm and im back in bk. streets have been open (no blockades) for hours. get a ping, 2.0 and "9 minutes away". There was so much traffic though that it took 30 minutes to go the half mile to get to the pickup point.

Uber should introduce a feature that generates surges when theres a lot of traffic, even when there are lots of ubers around. im betting it was awful hard to get an uber at that parade.

That's me 8 hours and a few breaks here and there! 10 hrs If you count breaks and lollygags. Went to street festival in Queens, had a sausage and peppers. Wasted about an hour at airport between runs.

I get what you are saying but I don't plan to be a driver in the long run so I am going to max my income now. There would have to be major price increases for me to stay.
