Uber is trying to break the strike in NYC by suspending surge pricing. Cab Drivers are protesting the Muslim ban while Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, who recently showed his support for President Donald Trump, is attempting to help break the strike while screwing over Uber drivers by suspending surge pricing and lower rates.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. When uber allowed the rates to surge during emergencies, they were crucified, so they stopped letting it surge during unexpected high demand points. Now it is some kind of anti-labor action to stop the surge? If they let it surge, they would be battered on twitter for gouging.

They should be beaten and battered all day, everyday. This is all KalaDick. Every move he makes (like rate cuts, Pool, upfront pricing, etc. etc.) is questionable.

When are the VC's going to realize, this guy is a joke, while continuing to bleed Billions and Billions of dollars. He deserves everything that's coming to him. I hope the bottom completely falls out from under this shady piece of crap.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. This could have all been prevented without the greed factor setting in.

The proper response would have simply been the following:
1) let the surge stand, it has to be a pain in the butt driving in and out of that airport, so drivers who go should be compensated.
2) Give driver's the option to cancel any NYC airport runs without penalty. Simply base it on driver decision whether it is political or just no effin way am I driving into that mess.
3) Stop being a ridiculous, greed-infested human being. Well scratch that one, it's too late for "KalaDick"
