Did they stop letting Boston drivers pickup in Connecticut? Dropped off in Vernon/Hartford area and came up that I cannot pick up in Connecticut and that never happened before.

we were told at an uber round table that once approved in mass you can drive anywhere in new england, but it is possible that uber considers conn. as out of market. Uber execs referred to us as uber new england drivers especially when talking about incentives and rides counting in all areas.

as far as lyft goes, i read an article about a lyft driver drove all over the country doing rides in every city except NYC.
i also know for a fact that lyft drivers pick up in all new england states(mass,nh,ri,conn,vt,me)

Yes, a Lyft driver from NH in my car last year claims he drove Lyft to Florida picking up along the way.

If there is one thing Uber should clarify more without you having to ask is sharing publically how far your coverage market actually goes. Over my time with Uber I have had different sources say different.

Pretty much the Uber app will clearly tell you when your out of your market range, I know that because I tried the app while I was away in Lake George, NY once.

I would hope N.H. is still part of Boston's market ... I have found Saturday heaven making fares in the NH seacoast area on weekend nights over the summer ... including Newburyport and Sailsbury Beach

Hartford shouldn't trip that fence though. There does seem to be something going on with CT and Uber. I've seen a few people mention no longer being able to pickup there.
maybe, i'm not sure

i hear that, i live in nh and drive in Boston the most but like to change it up in the summer as well

I wonder if Rhode island drivers have no issue picking up in Connecticut.
in years past uber's rule was if the state borders your market its all good but this rule is broken if this connecticut thing is true

Not true. If you are registered to drive in New Hampshire, you cannot drive in Massachusetts. However, if you are registered in Boston, you can still drive in New Hampshire. I live in New Hampshire and drive in Boston. That policy might change soon as well, but that's the way it currently is. When I go back home today I will be able to drive in New Hampshire.

This change happened last month. I am a CT driver and was always able to drive in MA. Although I only drove when I dropped off there. Always in Western MA. 3 weeks ago I dropped off in Boston and was not allowed to pickup. I thought it applied only to Boston area because the app specifically mentioned Boston. Turns out I couldn't drive any part of MA. Lyft did not have a restriction. I have a CORI approval. I'm not thrilled with the restriction but until I read this thread I thought that MA drivers could pick up here which isn't cool if I can't pick up there. As far as I know however, NY drivers can drop off and pick up here in CT.

Lol!
Now is not cool for MA driver pick in CT, because CT drivers can’t pick up in MA! It was all good and dandy before, but not anymore!
The irony!
