I've gotten pings from there. As I had over there I always call the PAX ask them to walk 100' across the plaza to in front of the Westin main entrance so I don't interfere with the taxi line and create an issue.
Had a PAX ask where the best place to pickup was (due to traffic and crowds) I told him if they don't mind walking a min, go through Westin lobby then down 2 escalators to side entrance of Westin on D street. He was happy to accommodate. I turned around in the service lane under the hotel and waited with hazards on the corner, waited about 30 secs before they came out.
