For being one of the most exciting cities in the country I have to say this board = boring.
Does anyone have a good story to tell? I don't work nights and not very many weekends but I'm sure I could come up with a story or two if i think about it.
I've been in the city for about 8 months and one thing I noticed is there is no sense of community here. Folks are all doing their own thing. There's no chemistry. I asked the locals when I pick them up if they know their neighbors. Most of the time the answer is no.
Same goes for the drivers with the exception of a select few.
Is that because everyone is from someplace else and we all have different backgrounds?
I don't get it. Maybe the professional sports teams we're getting will change that.
Does anyone else read this board besides the 10-12 faithful and the 5 or so that have multiple monikers (yes you're that obvious)?

It's one of the things I love about ride-share, it's boring. No hookers, pimps, strung out drug dealers trying to find their next fix. No drug addicted strippers riding me around for hours with no money trying to pawn a Rolex they just stole off the customer they rufied. In my year of rideshare I have never had a beat up hooker bleeding in the back of my car and saying "go please...". I have never had anyone dying in the back of my ride-share. That was my work as a cab driver.
In ride-share, once in a while I get someone I don't necessarily like but that is about as bad as it gets. I get to do a phone interview with every customer to see if I want to pick them up, how cool is that...

I didn't say rideshare is boring, I don't think that at all. I talk to very interesting people everyday.
This board could be a good resource for communicating with other drivers and getting on the same page or just for entertainment in between rides. Right now it's neither.

I have to be honest, I am close to putting you on mute. You are over kill. You're like nails on a chalk board.
To me, you're right up there with kojeislandincha. I just bypass his (or her) messages too.
Besides, I like your other characters better.

I know, substantiated facts are so annoying. What other characters?

Vegas is sin city.. it does not have any community or culture. Other cities goes to church on Sunday. Vegas goes to the casinos on Sunday

I picked up a group of women Sunday who were living "the Hangover part 4", they lost their friend and we're busy lying to their husbands back home about it on the phone.
I had a guy during CES close a billion dollar deal in the back seat. (no tip)
And I seem to get a lot of hookers going from the burbs to North Las Vegas at 5am.
Weirdest pick up was an Indian (like the country of India) family I picked up at the Flamingo, there were 7 or 8 of them, I think 3 adults. I was just getting out to tell them to get a second car when all of them just packed in my poor Kia Rio... I still have no clue how they got in there, and so fast. I took them literally next door to the Link (where they were staying) and that was the last time I allow more people than seat belts... Language barrier or not.

Wait wait wait I think I gotta a good story to tell .I picked up 3kids 2dudes & 1girl from Polo towers yesterday and they wanted to go to Nuleaf Dispenary shop located @ Twain & Paradise. On the way to shop we chatted about weed & Uber and Vegas. The guys seem pretty cool the girl didn't say much. I asked the staff at the door if they have kickback program for drivers and they guy told no. I waited for them In the parking a lot for about 10 minutes then took them back to Polo towers. One of the kids forgot his wallet in my car so I rolled down my window and called him by his name and gave him his wallet & droved home.

A couple of weeks ago (Saturday morning) I got a ping at a business complex near Dean Martin.
I pull up to the complex and it's mostly empty. A gentleman walks out of an office and points at a guy in the distance and asks if I'm picking him up. I said i don't know. He says to me, if it's him be careful we found him in our office this morning sleeping at a desk. They basically just shooed him away instead of calling the cops.
The guy in the distance makes his way to my car and I confirm he's my pax. I ask him a couple of questions and feel like he's ok to transport. I start driving off and I start the ride. Destination is Scottsdale Arizona. This is a select ride by the way.
I asked him if the destination is correct and he says no. I ask him where he wants to go and he says, I don't know. He tried to change the destination but cancels the ride. So I asked him to leave my car because he already ordered another ride that went to someone else.
Turns out the guy was still very drunk but not a threat. I turned off my app and left the area.

I can beat that... Yesterday I picked up a guy who thought I "worked" for uber as an "employee " and could settle a dispute he had with a fare on a previous ride..... (bah hahahaha)

I find this board very entertaining! The pissing-match between you and Vegas E. is what keeps me coming back!

I once gave a puker 5 stars. She didn't make any noise, it didn't smell bad and she got every drop in the puke bag I supplied. She had a lovely parting gift. Honestly...I would have given five stars even if her friend didn't tip me.

I haven't met any of my neighbors. I also eat crayons. My favorite is brown. It tastes like licorice.
Ted, Ted, Ted....fall off the wagon again? Maybe all the colorful lights in Vegas trigger your addiction too easily.

I keep looking for you too! Ok, we are going to meet up by the end of the weekend.
On another note, I paid off that huge I owed to another member here. Spotted her at the airport, knew it was her. I asked her a couple of questions to confirm it was her. Then I paid off my debt.

Picked up a guy at Siegel Suites on Flamingo and Swenson about two months ago. The destination was to Harbor Island on Harmon. Pax told me to wait for him while in went to the door, he told me in the car that he was picking up a phone charger. I could clearly see what was happening inside the apartment because the door was left wide open. I saw my Pax give the guy some cash with the other guy handing over a clear bag with white powder in it. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on. Decided in an instant to cancel the ride and just took off. This dude wasn't going to be transporting drugs in my ride.

Debt owed to another board member? Do tell! What do you drive anyway?
