Auto correct effected me unlike you who just can not spell. Hey keep driving, maybe you to can say yu actually had a career in some thing in life besides flipping burgers.

And Im guessing you are driving Uber because of your lack of any expertise...
Actually I am retired due to me making the right choices in life, maybe something you could have learned but you didn't.

I would have to say that I enjoy driving for UBER because unlike you I do not rely on it to make a living. I have the privilege to drive a full size nice hybrid car and I have fun communicating with nice people. I have been ready all the post in this forum for 6 months and it just seem like everyone birches about UBER but you all still driving, when you could go out and find a career but instead you choice the easy path and make no money.Have fun with your life. I going on vacation for a third time this year, why because I can afford it.

Haha. Use your technology as a crutch.

I have the ability to drive quite a bit, but I only drive when it benefits me. Such as when I drive to my office at a Fortune 40 company, in a Sr leadership role where my salary is a fairly healthy 6 digit number. I don't NEED to drive for Uber or Lyft.

Why do I do it? Because it pays for my gas, tolls and lunches and have a little extra cash here and there. It's a simple hustle. I maximize my drive. I have to go to the office 3 days a week and drive past IAH already, why not take advantage of it?

How many here can say they work a successful professional career 30-50 miles from home and haven't spent one personal cent on gas, tolls and oils changes for the past year? And the extra mileage for dropping by IAH is less than 10% of my total round trip each day. There's very little depreciation on top of what I already have personally, and NOW most of my trip to the office is tax deductible. Hmm. Don't see the idiot factor here.

I only do destination trips to airport and I drive a luxury car. I don't deal with the degenerate bar crowds on weekends or evenings. My wear and tear is minimal. Some days I don't get a passenger or don't have the schedule to allow it. Oh well.

Back when the pay was really good at end of 2015 I did it a ton because money was good and lived in market that had mostly Select or XL. I enjoyed it. But it beat up the vehicle pretty good. At that point I technically quit Uber and decided I only do it when it benefits me and I don't go out of my way to do it. I rarely do more than 3 trips per week. I haven't done any since before Harvey. My office campus suffered damage from Harvey and now will be working remotely for the next 2 months while repairs are completed and likely won't do another trip for that length of time.

Do I care? Nope, because I don't have gas or toll expense until I'm traveling back to the office. Yep...I'm a big dummy. Looking for my next break from flipping dem burgers. Lol.

Then you can appreciate what I'm doing. My road to retirement will be much shorter or more enjoyable because I'm not going very far out of my way minimize my expenses and also getting a tax deduction. I'm not on the beat chasing the almighty pennies per mile. That's just stupidity.

But realize, there are some here dealt a rough card in this oil industry region. Uber used to make sense as a great part time flexible gig. Unless you know how to hustle really good and know some hacks to the system, your just living off a short term loan on your vehicle. It's no better option than a payday loan. It eventually costs you far more than you gained. But sometimes, some people have to make that choice to survive. Unfortunately there are too many drivers too stupid to figure out the true cost of doing this business until it's too late. I knew it from the get go.

Kudos - your one of the smart ones and I respect that.

However, your still a jackass for starting your response to this thread criticizing illiteracy, but your posts prove your no scholar. You best check yourself before you wreck yourself. I don't criticize any grammar here because many type on these fancy devices and accuracy is not a common thing. But, when someone does criticize, they best double check and triple check before they hit reply.

Meanwhile my whole life is a vacation. Perks of not buying into this BS life. I've given more than reasonable effort, so I just laugh at the critics. People like me rule nations.
