Yep, now Uber is just 20 cents cheaper than Lyft. Lyft has a tip feature but hides the surge on the request. Uber tells the surge on a request but has no tipping option.
Do you do Lyft too? I do, and it seems like the fares are now identical, at least for a minimum fare ride. I get the same $3.20 for either. Lyft lowered the fares about a month ago, maybe a little more.

Yes, Lyft dropped the power driver bonus very fast and then dropped the pay much faster than Uber did. I lost 80 cents each ride with Uber after 4000 rides. I lost 40 cents each ride with Lyft after only 200 rides. The pay is the same. At least with Uber, the surge/boost is in the request. Lyft keeps telling me it is legit that I missed out on prime. Lyft also has mysterious high prices to certain destinations. Get some fare estimates to the Howard Johnson or Target. I don't know if they share those inflated fares with drivers.

When I started 3 years ago the safe driving fee (booking fee) was $1 and I was making around 90 cents per mile doing X. They have consistently raised the safe driving fee and lowered the rates for X. I will never do X for this reason. Uber's insurance has raise rates on them, but they seem to think our expenses have gone down.

Uber doesn't allow tips yet a good number of my Uber pax offer me cash tips. Lyft has the option embedded in the app yet I never get tips from Lyft pax -- another reason why I prioritize Uber requests over Lyft.

And the fact Lyft refuses to show the surge prior to accepting a request is why I NEVER turn on the Lyft app when Uber is surging. Several times on Uber, I have been in a surge zone and gotten a non-surge request only to ignore it and get a 1.2x or higher request later. With Lyft, I wouldn't know until the trip ends.

No thank you...
