So just got a message from uber that a paxhole complained that I was falling asleep at the wheel and that if I receive any further complaints I risk deactivation.
The claim is totally bogus and I advised uber that I have internal and external dash cam footage of every trip and asked for date/time so I can retrieve the footage.
Got copy/paste reply that they can't disclose that information and a link to there community guidelines crap.
So it seems that now even if you have irrefutable proof a complaint is false a dash cam can't protect you from false complaints.
You can submit a police report and information for the rider etc if you really do have proof and have the footage backed up. Then go ahead and sue the rider once you got his/her info.
"
you can sue the person who defamed
you (or anyone involved in defaming
you) for
defamation. If
you have been defamed,
you usually must
sue within the time limit of 1 year from when the material was communicated. "
"When taking a legal pathway, it is important to know that legal action can be very expensive, complicated, and involve unforeseen consequences. If you think you have been defamed, you should see a lawyer.
If you successfully sue someone for defamation, the court may award you money
(as damages) to compensate you for damage to your reputation, your hurt feelings, and any economic loss you have suffered. The court may also stop the person who defamed you from publishing defamatory material about you in the future (which is called an injunction)."
And I'm sure you can come up with a number of other charges  worth a look into and it can quite possibly clear that strike you just gotten when you win the case.
They don't want you paying a visit to the rider and it pretty safe bet some drivers knowing who the rider is will go do something :roflmao:
But they do anything to protect their rider information.
What you experience from this rider is the normal report for the rider to get that ride free and the next couple of rides free. Uber doesn't do any investigating and just send you out first and final warning. Another common report is my driver was drunk, drinking while driving and very intoxicated. Then the less common one is my driver sexually assaulted me which this one may lead to a perm deactivation without warning.
