Today I picked up a young man I'd say 21-24 years old.....Took him about 5 miles to his job as a dishwasher....had a great convo the ride went pretty smooth.... I dropped him off normally i double check the back seat, but this time i just so happen to pull off to and cut off my app to get some lunch.....About 3 mins later i hear a phone ringing in the back its him he left his phone in my car.....Luckily im less than 2 mins away I answer his phone and tell him im on my way....I turn on my uber and report that im returning a item in my car.....I received 15 dollars via uber for returning the item and the kid gave me a 22.00 tip all in a span of 5 mins that was a pretty awesome gesture there are still some good people and pax in this world!!!!

Here's the best tip you'll ever receive. Everyone is good at something that someone else either can't do or can't be bothered to do. Figure out what you are good at and start your own business. Drive for uber until you have enough clients that you don't need to any more. You can do it!!

Sorry Bud. No disrespect. People take what they want from posts and life experience. My best cash tip... I got tipped 20$ a few times. It's all good. Any tip is better than no tip. I got tipped $30 once now that I think about it. I'm not a full time driver by any means any more. I have about 800 rides between Uber and Lyft this year. I haven't driven in 2 weeks. Now I'm getting incentives to come back. Still not worth it in my area. Good luck to you though. Every situation is different.

$50 sometime back in the winter.. picked up a mother n daughter from a restaurant in Westfield, almost canceled them too.. it was no more than a $10 ride but i think the reason why they tipped me so high was bcuz they saw my stethoscope hanging on my mirror n when i told them im a nursing student they told me how much they appreciate nurses n what they did when the husband got sick with cancer, they told me i would make a fantastic nurse some day n to keep going. i truly felt appreciated at that moment.. otherwise its 2-3 $10's a month n mostly $5's or lower
