Phone scam after receiving a ping I got a call it was on the customer line saying that he was Jason with Uber and because of my rating I was getting a $200 bonus only had to do was verify my phone number by given it to him . So he can sound official he said we are on a recorded line a couple of times I told him I didn't care if the pope was on the line I wasn't giving them my phone number , he also canceled the ride and told me that he just canceled it for me and he was giving me a $35 courtesy credit for that. Then he hung up

Make sure you contact CSR if it doesn't show up. Lol.
Keep them online for 5 minutes next time and get the real cancel fee.

Did that person got charged for cancelation fee.? did you get $3.75? Someone requested a ride from UNLV I was at AMPM gas station near airport heading to strip....after I accepted the request I learned it was a pool so I refused to drive to UNLV and pick up the rider and kept driving 7 mins later the person canceled the ride and a second later the person called me I refused to answer the phone and later on I learned uber charged them for cancelation $5.00 which was wrong b/c I never drove to the person location and waited for 5 mins or anything. This is my 4 trips that uber charged the riders for cancelation fees after the riders cancelled the trips.

I had a similar call. They advised me I was getting a $200 bonus for having a high customer rating. They had me going for a while especially since they had the ability to cancel the ride that I was going to when I receive the call. But I did get suspicious when they started asking me too many questions. I actually received a text message from them as well.

I did contact Uber to advise them of this. Interesting way when I offered to forward the text messages I received they did not want them...
