$1111.80 this week in about 60 hours of driving - a mix of Uber Eats and Menulog. Doing the two together seems to give a big boost to your earnings. The split was $467.05 Menulog and $644.75 Uber Eats. Times worked was roughly 12 noon to 9pm every day. It feels like if I kept driving later around the city I could have made a lot more. Things have certainly picked up now that Uber has a serious competitor. Drivers are the big winners so far.

Might take a bit of a dive for the next couple of weeks. School Holidays along with Easter and Anzac day is going to see town emptied out a little. Expecting a January type fortnight.

I'm assuming that is your gross payment from Uber/Menulog ... so less than $20 per hour? Not sure that is anything to be really happy about...

In this economy having a job and income in itself is something to be happy about. $20 an hour with total flexibility is pretty darn good in my books

I don't think it is totally flexible. For getting the 20$ or about per hour you have to work those specific times and days. That's not being 'totally flexible'

Plus not having to pay GST and having a shitload less expenses than the uberx ants.

That's right, I don't pay GST and I don't have a $250 a week rental fee or $150 a week car repayment - it's an old but very reliable car that I own outright.

Full time uberx drivers earn $9 an hour after running costs, living the dream.

Better than collecting cans, not financially I mean, just cleaner, you don't have to rummage through rubbish bins all day long and get all dirty.

I almost quit today, I thought to myself I got better things to do than drive uber ... then I suddenly realised no I haven't :frown:

Uber in the winter is gonna be a treat, being able to wear a half face helmet without burning my face to a tomato is gonna be a blessing.

I love uber eats and i love the freedom.

I do hate certain aspects of it, Like low pay but in the end we are free to choose the jobs we take and are very easily able to clear 52K a year if you can focus on the job.

Now I'm going to argue the the physical activity provides health benefits that outweigh the need for extra time under a hot shower.
