I am using Aldi ATM and quite often it seems to have trouble allowing the Uber Partner app to connect to Uber. Which has lead to me not being able signal the app to start the trip or end the trip.
I got Aldi because I believed they used Telstra's network, maybe they have a low priority.
I don't know if this is significant but I have read:
"Amaysim have been offering 4G data speeds since the middle of 2015, For most of the time these companies have been competing, Aldi only had slower 3G data speeds. Amaysim's and Aldi's coverage is comparable - Aldi do not use the whole Telstra network : Aldi do not have the same network facilities as Amaysim."
In fact, all MVNO on Telstra network do not have access to the whole network, because they all using Telstra wholesale, except Boost. (Which is using Telstra retail).
However the main difference is on the country side.
Apart from reception, the backhaul can make a huge difference.
Personally I've been using Boost for 2 years and moved to Telstra prepaid, the difference is pretty severe.

Sorry, are you saying that Telstra pre-paid has better coverage than boost? I've been using boost for a few years now, and it's always been very reliable, but in the past few weeks I've had a number of cases where starting a trip took a *really* long time. I'm not sure if thats a fault of uber, boost (telstra) or my mobile. One time I just couldn't start the trip no matter how many times I tried, so I used my other phone (iphone) which is on optus. I haven't done a full drive shift on the optus phone, so I can't really comment on how they perform.
I use aldi and NEVEE HAVE A PROBLEM. i use a samsung S6 Edge Android. No problem. Aldi is also a 3g 3g+ and 4g carrier. I dont think the problem is aldi. I have a friend with vodaphone and he has more problems then i do.
I was on Amaysim with no problems. Then switched to Optus for the larger data pack (10GB) for a few bucks more. No problems regarding coverage or speeds.
And Aldi is already on Telstra's 4G...just doesn't have access to its 4GX (Telstra exclusive).
The main difference in price generally comes down to speeds (4GX vs 4G vs 3G etc) and "customer service".
Sometimes it's the phone that can have the problem....
