Reports of a shooter at Ben Taub Hospital, may be BS, but in any case, NO SURGE. Makes no sense. Uber suppressing it or really that many drivers?

Used to always,surge at this time in the medical center anyway.

Lost all respect for Channel 11 Greg Hurst {didn't have much anyway) with his stupid live comments on how shooter may have a semi auto rifle which has large magazines and can fire so much faster. What?

Uber turned off the downtown Houston lunch surge awhile back (or really raised the threshold) and they likely did the same thing in the Medical Center area just like they did for the Super Bowl around NRG.

I was caught up in that mess yesterday. Had a pickup at Herman Park Zoo, almost couldn't get there, and the delivery point was across from MD Anderson. Had 2 more pickups & short trips at the Med Center area, took 20 minutes to get to pickup for 10 minute rides. Turned off app and got out of Dodge at that point.
