Wear comfortable shoes to walk in and change into more "appropriate" footwear once you get where you're going? Backpacks and reusable bags do work wonders.

Picked up a girl (20's) last night around 8pm in Pasadena at the Vons on Colorado. She was going like half a mile. Told me that she was walking and a block into it a car almost ran her over. The lady in the car yelled that it was the pedestrian's fault. My passenger turned around and walked back to Von's and requested an Uber.

I told her, Smart...

Just wondering...

All these short rides...

What were pax doing, to go only two miles, before Uber???
Most probably people used to walk it or asked a friend to take them. I think it's great that passengers can get a ride a few blocks, now. It makes L.A. a better place to live/visit. In NYC one can hail a Taxi from almost any where for these shorties. IF Uber would pay us a proper minimum fare we'd LOVE these shorties...not the passenger's fault. TK be the villain here...
