BBB and Uber (Better Business Bureau)

Interesting information when you look up Uber on the BBB website.

There are over 500 complaints registered so far.

This is what it says as a summary on the BBB.org website:

Additional Complaint Information

BBB's business review for Uber Technologies was created in September 2012. A recent review of this company's complaints was done in March 2014. Consumer complaints allege misunderstanding Uber Technologies' pricing, being misinformed about the overall cost of the services rendered, and not being made aware of "surge pricing," or temporary increases in the company's charges. Some consumers claim that they were told the final cost of the transportation service the company provided (through Uber Technologies' phone app, the driver, and the consumer's receipt), only to be subsequently charged a substantially larger amount.

Consumer complaints further allege having difficulty reaching a customer service representative to have their concerns addressed.

Uber Technologies was unresponsive to the BBB's request for a response to the pattern of complaints. BBB recommends that consumers always read a company's terms and conditions before rendering the company's product or service.

The Better Business Bureau hasn't been relevant in 30 years, and has its own less-than-stellar reputation.

While everyone here knows by now I'M NO UBER HONK by any means but I can easily see those with an axe to grind (or a way to profit) against UBER filing claims just to try and get them out of the picture. That does not mean that some complaints are not true, that's for sure.

Uber needs to be out of the picture all what they did , they destroy the life of so many cab driver families. Uber don t believe in letting others eat even there own drivers . They are not good people, as soon as another good ride share company step up to help drivers, uber will be gone.
I trust the BBB reviews. They are better than trip advisor, yelp.
Lyft/Uber and just about all the Taxi services get D's and F's.
