I'd say it depends on when you settled for minimum pay rides. Up until Jan and maybe Feb this year, you could still far exceed Prop 22 min with smart driving.

Now, today, if you have to drive consistently to make ends meet, i think you're stuck with just accepting every ride in your shift and collect your bi-weekly Prop 22 paycheck.

Driving for bonuses right now is a lot of effort, and any bonus you collect just reduces your Prop 22 paycheck initially. And there's no guarantee you'll end up with more than Prop 22 min if Uber/Lyft pull a fast one on you and reduce or eliminate your bonuses towards the end of the 2 weeks. Then you'd have invested all that effort for nothing.

Why, yes. Yes, I did.

But everything you said is spot on.

It was very rare for me to get a P22 payment. Usually it was because I drove a couple hours during the week and quit early because it was crap and then couldn't drive the rest of the week for one reason or another (had a cold or the flu a couple times) or just got really lazy.

The message from Uber says clearly that this first batch was for 2023. They said they are working on 2022. So it should be coming. Fingers crossed

I was wondering the same thing. The language they were using was confusing, although I got the jist of it. Probably check your wallet at 5 pm tonight.

I might be wrong. Now I realized that they said for 2023 we will show the 34 cents, while they already adjusted for 2022. I got 729 dollars. I guess there will be no more Santa Claus
