You will wake up deactivated , they have to email you a consent form but they didn't .

Since by law they are required to run the background check every 6 months if they don't have your consent you get deactivated which you might assume it's no big deal worse case you loose 2 weeks

When the background check is done they activate you with 25% instead of 20% and now you got a brand new issue

Short story email them and ask them for the consent form

I'm pretty sure they only do the checks annually now, but I could be wrong. I'll go to my old emails to see if that was mentioned at that time because it's for sure not specified in our contract.

They'll definitely send you an email for a rerun if it was intentional like they did at the beginning of the year when they changed companies. With the new company you have to consent online after clicking the link.

The law is 6 months plus some other things like mechanical checks every 50k it's all moot unless I get one of those tickets that get you deactivated , I have a new car and so on lol

Oh it's uber ! The email might come it might not come , they are not exactly known for their efficiency

I just noticed in the "similar threads" down below that there are several members posting recently regarding background checks and the notion that Uber might possibly be using them to get rid of drivers.. I'm not sure if this has any merit, but they won't get far with me since I am DOJ fingerprint cleared.

Would not be surprised.
Old drivers means u can only take 20 percent...and u know the system.
New drivers means...25 percent...manipulate them...and they will have water..candy...salads and shrimps for costumers.
Only company that i know of where experience can hurt you

Blah! I wish I could say I'm surprised.. Sorry to hear that.

I just checked old emails & couldn't find how often they run them, if on any schedule at all. Uber's schedule is they will let you know smtg is necessary after its passed :)
It was like 4 months ago lol drove lyft that time for like 3 days and eventually I emailed support , the person sent me an email with the form they said they had sent

Got activated within a few hours

Well, unless they make something up or misreport the check like they did in 2014, I'm good- thankfully. I guess after reading the other threads, some drivers have some speculation as to whether Uber is making stuff up.
