How thorough is the Uber background check? Im talkin criminal. I have a violent felony from almost 7 years ago and I am having a hell of a time finding work. I hear that Uber's background checks go back for 7 years. Is that from the date of conviction or date of offense? Also...is there any chance that I may get approved by Uber even if it hasnt been 7 years since my last felony? It was for armed robbery.

you should be fine with Uber.. most companies look at it 7 years since the day you're released from the Pen..VA will not let you drive for sure.. Maryland and D.C. should let you drive.. Don't even bother applying for LYFT those guys aren't going to accept you for sure.. that's is why Uber is smarter by giving convicted felon a second chance.. they have more drivers driving for them..

D.C., and Maryland have to take felons...if they didn't there would be no labor force in state / city
