Been noticing the que has been up and down like rollercoaster for a while.
Some drivers been purposely doing regular Lyft rides (downgrading) aiming for short rides like MGM and closer so they can be next in line when they are back to the lot.
They accept the request, call and ask where the pax are heading to. The drivers will cancel or ask the pax to cancel IF the destination is further than the short rides boundaries.
Once they drop the pax at those short ride destinations out of airport, they switch to XL and above platforms.
The idea is to cut que and take advantage of the "short ride - next in line" feature.

Was at the Lyft office the other day and they told me they been monitoring those who frequently call/ txt the pax, cancel or requesting pax to cancel.

Those drivers accounts will be flagged and eventually will be banned from the airport or permanently deactivated.

Those of you who know anyone doing this, please warn them that Lyft will get them.

Now we are going to lose "next in line" feature soon because of them.

[/QUOTEworks great with Uber not having it. I've been complaining to Lyft for months about it.

Airport lot?

Drivers still go there for rides??

Isn't the AP lot for chess tournaments???
I've seen it many times at Carl's Jr. those chess ♟️ tournaments

So drivers take a $3 Lyft ride to the strip so they can be first in like to take a $5 XL ride to the strip. Sounds like a plan
While that's more likely , I think there goal is to get that near the mtn ping . So they get 40+ dollars . Probably on DF when they switch back to XL when first in line

Myself along with a lot of other premium drivers would love to see the next in line go away or at least take it off the platform for XL and premium rides because guys have learned to manipulate the system and they are doing nothing about it the office knows about it and will not do anything about it. They're not going to deactivate anybody all they care about is the passengers been picked up so the same guys at all learned to manipulate the system are getting all the righ they're not gonna deactivate anybody all they care about is the passengers being picked up so the same guys it or learn to manipulate the system are getting all the rides. I know a guy for instance that was first in Q in the whole lot in the morning so he was next in line on black after two hours he ends up being too ahead of him there was nobody in the lot before him no planes were coming in at the time he came to the lot so it's impossible for anybody to get ahead of him yet after two hours he went from next to two ahead of him and Lyft will not do anything about it

Regardless of this strategy why is anyone stupid enough to drive for base rate at the airport? I mean if you stage there regularly you are an idiot...let it surge make it worthwhile. That goes for both Uber and Lyft. If you wait more than 2 minutes for a ride there you are wasting your own time and making way less money. You are better off getting rides on the strip.

Any pickup from the airport you have to put close to 2 miles on your car (if you are staging) in addition to the time wasted waiting for your turn. You can EASILY get a ride on the strip much faster and have less wasted miles driving to pickup. But some people are stupid and just never learn.

The only time you should be doing base rate airport pickups is IF you just dropped someone off at the airport and they send you a pickup from there which cuts down on your wait time and miles driving to pick someone else up (since most of us leave the airport empty handed)

I'm glad your expert on XL and premium rides but I wouldn't take your advice since it's not correct

Lol oh really? Ask anyone who doesn’t stage at the airport. If you do X/Pool/Shared/Lyft and you don’t gross at least $20 an hour staging at the airport you are wasting your time. Can make more money looking for rides on the strip and less dead miles too. Doesn’t take a genius to figure it out.

If you stage at the airport what’s the most number of rides you get in an hour? 2 if you are lucky. And let’s say they both drop off at Bally’s and Caesar’s. And they don’t tip. You make what, $5 per trip? Congrats you made $10 in one hour. Not to mention half those miles are dead miles. Very efficient!

I actually hit 6 lux rides in a row from the airport during NAB.... if you’re the first one there in the morning.... then you probably will get several lux or black rides to the strip in a row using the short trip feature.... it will work up to Venetian if you go the back way... This is why every black suv and XL driver is lined up right now in the staging lot.... it sucks, but I don’t blame the driver for using this strategy to get paid...

Why do you care?
Why concern yourself with how others choose to drive rideshare?
And why the name-calling?
The only person with the inability to learn is you.
How is it you think that everyone has the same wants, needs, goals, desires?
