Went to the new greenlight hub on minnesota ave today to contest a ticket (been suspended from uber for about a month now). Nice improvement on forestville. I also noticed they hired 2 security guards. Nice to see where they are stealing our money and diverting it to.

Also I went to lyft support hub in arlington. What a dump! Bastards said I'm perm. banned, nothing I can do. Oh well.

Security guards to protect them after drivers realize they're getting rocked w/ the scams?

How come they perm banned you? From what I read on the forums people get reactivated all the time.

You can always offer to take that rip off $80 driving course Uber offers. It's one day out of your life, and then you're back on the platform. At least try it so you have the option of driving on NYE if you feel like it.

If they've banned you and you ask for forgiveness, they will probably enable you ONCE
After that? Game over.
Excessive cancellations with lyft. I'm suspended with Uber until I can get this ticket issue resolved. Had a crazy police officer issue me a reckless ticket for rolling past a stop sign. (I stopped right at the intersection of a double white line, he says I was blocking traffic) I've already gone to court and had the ticket amended.

Yes, lyft says I was perm. banned and there's nothing they can do now. I told them I have never been suspended before. Not much I can do now.

How about providing some details of WHY you were deactivated, including whether or not you did what you were accused of.

Nobody should have to ask you for details.

Many of us would like to know so we can be informed about what the deactivation boundaries are.

I just said - excessive cancellations. My lyft rating was a 4.65 also. I cancelled rides that were longer than 10 min away. There's really not much to say about it. I got a few warnings in the app before that I should not have disregarded.

I'd keep hitting them up via email and social media.
At some point either they give up and let you back or they ignore you.

What about Uber?
I got hit with some bogus charges - reckless driving. Cop said I rolled through a stop sign (this is after I dropped off some uber passengers.) His words "You stopped in the middle of the intersection." Then he said I was going slow through a light that had just turned green. When the office rpulled me over, I was courteous and explained that I was an uber driver. I was nothing but livid when he came back and gave me a reckless driving ticket.

Uber ran a bg check and saw the pending charges and suspended me. I got a lawyer and had the charges amended to improper driving last week. I called background checkr this morning and they said it will take up to 30 days for their records to update. Thinking I oculd expedite it, i drove to dc and uber says they will open a case. Will be a couple of days before they reactivate me.

Uuuugh. The only thing I can think to do is that daylong course with Uber. Good luck!

4.65 is above the deactivation threshold.

What was your cancellation percentage?

With the new pay cut, it's more important than ever to know the approximate percentage of rides that can be cancelled without being at risk of deactivation.

Good luck, but I think your driving record will still show 3 violations. Was this the last or the first ticket that your received?
  • Improper driving (3 points which stay on your record for 3 years) - The points are less and stay on your Virginia record for a shorter period, but if your driving record is ever needed in the future, a judge will know that you have already received judicial relief on a charge of reckless driving.

Maybe he can take one of those driving classes that removes points from your record. It's just a day long class. My brother took one, and he lives in Fredericksburg.

He should do whatever it takes to remove any moving violations
