Hi guys and ladies, Hopefully someone can help me here as I am reading conflicting information on what is needed etc. Is looking into it at the moment. The part I am getting conflicting information re is Medical related and what is needed. Some places I read you have to go to Doctor with a form and have a medical done etc. Other places it is a self assessment. So is trying to work out which is the case etc. This will be for a uber application on the ride sharing side and on saying this does UBER need a medical assessment? As if they do would rather get both done as 1.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this information.

Six and a half years ago I signed up with Uber and they required a medical to be done by one of their contract doctors. But thats when Uber was operating illegally and they had a Hub in Port Melbourne. In 2022 everything is done online and there are no medical documents required and nowhere to upload them in the Uber App anyway.

As far as CPVV, or Transport Victoria as they now known by, I think the medical is self assessed. But if you have a serious medical condition like hypertension or diabetes, they will require you to have a medical done by any GP filling in one of their medical forms. This assessment will then need to be undertaken annually.

Possible typo, I think you meant ..
"This assessment will then need to be undertaken anally."

CPVV changed it to a self assessment/ declaration during Covid. In 2017, I had to get a medical assessment from a GP and upload it to my Driver Accreditation application.
