Pretty sure it will depend on you credit score. My last car purchase they pulled my credit report and score. After seeing it they did not even ask about income or employer information.

Financing through dealer always predatory lender of last resort.
While it often is predatory it can also work to your advantage. Do some rate shopping and get preapproved before you ever visit a dealer. When you get to the dealer financing part tell them you are preapproved at xx rate, always making it .25% lower than what you are preapproved at. The dealer always beats it by .25% saving you .5%. Of course having excellent credit helps.

I've always got 0% when I finance through dealer. Might be because I have all credit scores are around 830.
Not always the best way to go, often dealers will hold back rebates/incentives to cover the 0% interest loans. Sometimes paying a low interest rate saves you more when you add in the lost rebates/incentives.

No I don't " go through cars" but I do perform all preventative maintenance and replace worn parts as needed.

Hmmmm, ever heard of frame damaged cars with clean Carfax reports? Let me know if you need educating. Miami is notorious for above mentioned.
I inspected the vehicle before purchasing.. it's easy to tell if original suspension and front/rear end parts have been replaced
