In my market i would make more money than that with just regular trips

My thought is
Are you familiar with a carrot on a stick?
They will do whatever they can to manipulate you

I have to admit I admire your candid approach. Truthful and straight forward. The hard core facts in a honest respectful way. How do we catch that carrot before we run out of breath?? 😁

Seems like last time they did this the drivers didn't get paid and they were all told they were not the intended receiver and it wasn't available in that market

Take your average week pay and divide that by your amount of trips for that week

Now multiply your average trip amount by the amount of trips in the offer (s).

Now you see you would get that or more than the offer. So it's not like anything has changed really.

However if you do the 225 trips say, and you don't make the offer amount on your own, they will give you at least that offer amount.

So it's a guaranteed minimal pay basically.

Trying to get Uber started there or lots of short, non-tipping trips or something.

Perhaps a lot too poor or stupid to use a smartphone?

There’s like 4 ways I can think or to get screwed on these.
if you make…
$1,500 in 234 trips it pays nothing.
$3,000 in 500 trips it also pays nothing.
if you made $2,509 in 238 trips they can disqualify 10 trips and you get nothing.


and they won’t pay out until our month is 100% over.

I did one of these last summer and screwed Uber on it in a rather epic fashion. I came in under half of the garauntee, did extra 10 rides and then went from 15 hours a day to zero hours a day for the rest of the month.

I did my 85 rides in 8 days. Then I gave zero rides the remainder of the month.

Everything I would have earned between $600 and $1,800 would have been a complete and total waste.

technically I did 5rides for absolutely nothing but I wanted some buffer in case they decided to try to screw me.

In either event the algo didn’t realize what I was doing until I was done screwing them.

But it’s not my fault I managed to get 85 short rides that came to 1/3 of the per ride earnings guarantee now is it?

that is a guarantee of earnings, not your earnings plus that, you get the difference of that and your earnings,
if your earnings are more you get nothing.

If they have upfront earnings there you could really do well with that. If not it still seems okay.

Anyone year's ago when we would be guaranteed say on a sat $50/hour 1st ride $45 far. Cause city. 2nd hour you were out of the area. No no nothing till 3rd hour stated. But we had real surge every day.
A smart driver back than never went for boost or quest...

I just did that to Lyft, they offered me a 10 ride $160 guarantee. I did a bunch of shorties in between my uber rides, 47.64 on the fares, $112.36 on the guarantee. They made it too easy. No AR and up front fares so I could reject the longer ones.
