Trying to figure if the rent program works 90 rides for a free rentalI did 40 last week. With the new Plus service I am definitely doing better with Lyft than Uber on the App.
It does seem as if the Lyft requests have picked up however 90 is a pretty high count requirement. Anybody get it done?Anyone doing 90 rides per week with lyft
90 is high and it would probably take about 54 hours online to get that. I based that on my experience with Lyft when I first started ride share. I was on Lyft alone before adding Uber, back then the 20% PDB was 50 rides in a week. It would take me 30 hours online to get it, that comes out to 1.67 rides per hour.90 is REALLY high. I get 10 uber pings to every Lyft ping.
A friend of mine has been doing it for about 8 months. Originally it was 40, then 70, now 90. He does it every week but I don't know how many hours he averages. It does seem as if the Lyft requests have picked up however 90 is a pretty high count requirement. Anybody get it done?
Do you also do uber or just lyft, also what I went to rent a car the price came back as 999.99 a week is that normalI do express drive in Vegas for 70 rides grandfathered in. After I learned what hours to work and where I can do it easily fri-sun. There are areas where 6 rides an hour are possible with zero traffic. You have to think differently than the masses.
Even though 70 is my bonus requirement, I can go past 100 without even paying attention to the count....mainly because the count doesn't show during an active ride and I rarely have a chance to look.
Thanks, how did you get signed up for itI'm in the Express Drive program which is a partnership between Lyft and Hertz. It is corporate billed to Lyft and I am billed from earnings and my debit card if not enough earnings. It is $180 base + $35 tax for a mid size (Mazda 3). If I do 70 rides and 90% acceptance Lyft pays the $180 I pay the $35. All maintenance and insurance included. $2500 deductible at fault through Lyft which is high. I've put 15k miles on it since November. Maintenance is no hassle (other than wiper blades) . Go to the officenter every 28 days for 30-45 minutes to make sure everything going alright and reset the due date.
Still get offered guaranteed hours, guaranteed prime time just no pdb which has complicated rules. I find the acceptance rate still allows me to either ignore or abandon 8-10 rides weekly so I still have flexibility.
I can't do Uber, but I'm not convinced that's a bad thing. I can only do 1 ride at a time, I'm already rarely even a block from a ride before I get another (which helps GPS my way out of places). Lyft has a good customer base for the most part.
Monday is a really good weeknight, you should know that from cabbing. When rideshare goes quiet, you'll be quite lucky to catch 2 Lyfts an hour. I have a feeling we may have benefitted slightly last night from that feeble attempt at a rideshare strike that I had forgotten all about. So went out tonight and did 6 rides in 2 hours with just lyft. Missed a 7th one cause I don't know what the procedure at the airport is. I should be able to do 90 rides in 3 days. I'm a cab driver so I'm used to 12 hour shifts. If it's drop and pick like tonight I'll jam for 12 hours straight or more. Thanks for the help

Some group was trying to organize a March 13 strike as a show of force against the far rates. Like I said, I didn't even remember it until I saw some St Pat's Day strike banner in another thread. What rideshare strike?
