Last night another Uber's passenger aggressively opened their car door as i was driving past with passengers in my car and completely took off the back handle of my door and dented my car like the hulk had punched it.
We did the thing with Uber messaged them with photos etc and Uber responded with go through my own insurance or legally track down that passenger of the other Uber driver. Any one had any thing similar happen with any advice or has had a passenger damage your car and Uber reimbursed you.

uber deactivates accounts after accidents, is this a common thing, so future reference if i get into an accident or a passenger damages my car should i not report it

you are classed as an independent operator, uber wont reimburse you
i dont expect uber to reimburse me, if a passenger vomits in my car they pay a cleaning fee so i expect if a passenger damages your car they pay for damages or am i wrong

Just an update for anyone interested in case anyone is involved in an accident, don't bother reporting to Uber they will not help you, just go straight through your insurance and make sure the hire car company that gives you a car is a partner with Uber I got a rental with Thrifty in Alexandria only to find out that they are not partners with Uber so i had to change for Thrifty in Wollomoloo, hope this helps someone :)

Can I say that I am sorry this happened, I have had this happen in one way or another over the years?
Follow this process. Contact CrimeStoppers and report the incident. They will give you a reference number, report this to Uber.
Contact your insurance company report this to them. Now you might be wondering if this is all worth the trouble. Let me tell you. Once this person has been barred its one less on the network it will be their loss.
